I photographed a pair of still life scenes composed

of various objects relating to concepts of nostalgia,

consumerism, kitsch, and banality. The final, dream-like,

images invite engagement surrounding how a distinctly

American consumer culture reflects and shapes our ideas

of self, how we move through the worlds we inhabit, and

how we remember them.
